Sony hdr-cx12 driver

Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Thanks for your feedback. The latest version of PMB is already installed and I have uninstalled and re-installed ro see if that makes any difference. I have tried it on a windows 7 computer and it connects just fine so it is not a camera problem.

I've got the same Problem. Could you solve your Problem? Thank you for your answer. You can find this setting in the "Setup" Menu, then go to "Connection". There you can change the connection mode. For me this works. I hope this will help you too. David A. This thread is locked. Is there a way to use the camera as like a webcam for like Skype of something? I don't want to have to return my camera! There was no mention of live streaming with the CX Ok, but is there a way to like stream while it is plugged into the computer?

I''m not sure whether or not it can be done via the USB connection. I'm thinking the answer is no. Since the camcorder has an HDMI out port then it may be possible using a capture device.

Hopefully someone who can give you a definitive yes or no will reply. Hi Januaay, Welcome to the Sony Community! Unfortunately, you can't use the camera as a webcam. If my post answers your question, please mark it as "Accept as Solution". I am thinking of replacing my camera. The concept worked for what I was doing with the exception that the cameras funtions showed through the HDMI onto my screen. For example, the auto focus square was visible on my screen while trying stream.

I imagine that this was because DSLR's are not designed to be video cameras, but rather still photo camera with some video capabilities. I know that the higher end video cameras do this with no problem. When you buy through our links, we may get a commission. Also on top but toward the front is the Active Interface Shoe with a sliding cover and the 5-channel microphone.

One disadvantage of the smaller size of the flash model versus the hard-disk-based models is for the LCD. The CX12's 2. It has the same controls on the bezel, though, for zooming, recording, and calling up one of the two menu systems.

On the camcorder body beneath the LCD, Sony hides the backlight compensation, Easy full auto , info display, and play buttons, as well as the NightShot switch for toggling Sony's infrared shooting mode. A small door on the bottom covers the media slot. Behind a plastic door on the back are a mini-HDMI connector and proprietary connector for component output; Sony bundles a component cable in the box, but like most, doesn't include an HDMI cable.

A Quick On button cuts the camcorder's startup time: with a partly full 4GB card it dropped from about 5 seconds to 2 seconds. Unfortunately, this svelte design means there's no room for a video light, eye-level viewfinder, or headphone and mic input jacks. The 12x zoom lens has a nice electronic lens cover, with a photo flash mounted next to it. It has a button on the front of it that lets you activate manual focus, exposure compensation, white balance shift, or shutter speed, though you can only assign one such function to the wheel at any given time.
